Edison Roberto de Souza

Edison Roberto de Souza holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from UFSC (1982), a Master’s degree in Education from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul – PUCRS (1997), and a Doctoral Degree in Production Engineering from UFSC (2001). He was Vice-Director (2009-2012) and Director (2013-2016) of the School of Sports at UFSC. Associate Professor in the Graduate Program in Physical Education (PPGEF) and in the Department of Physical Education (DEF), he is currently the Coordinator of the Center for Research in Sport Pedagogy of the School of Sports (NUPPE/CDS/UFSC), of the Laboratory of Sport Pedagogy (LAPE) and of the social project Brinca Mané, developed through a partnership between UFSC and the Ayrton Senna Institute. Also, he was Vice-President (1982-1985) and President (1985-1988) of the Santa Catarina Athletics Federation (FCA), Director and Athletics Technician of the Santa Catarina University Sports Federation (FCEDU) between 1979 and 1984, and is currently an ad-hoc evaluator of undergraduate programs for the Brazilian Ministry of Education.
